The screech owl is a stunning bird. With large facial disks and ear tufts, the screech owl has a most remarkable appearance. The soft brown, white and grey plummage of the screech owl is patterned to resemble bark and provides an excellent camouflage. These small members of the owl family reach only 20 to 30 cm in length.
