The song sparrow is a common backyard bird in North America. They are approximately 5.5 inches in length and have white, brown, and black plumage. The song sparrow has an exuberant voice which is frequently heard in the spring. A pair of song sparrows usually raise 3 clutches of 4 to 5 eggs each mating season.
