HELP INDEX NEXT UP PREVIOUS FEEDBACK ATG Crowned Eagle

Sorry, No Picture! Although the largest African eagle is the martial eagle the most powerful African eagle is the crowned eagle. Preying on large animals such as antelope this bird of prey proves to be a mighty one. Other smaller mammals are commonly taken, such as monkeys and mongooses. The crowned eagle is approximately 30 inches in length and has a crested feather crown of black and white plumage. Crowned eagles can be found in dense forests in the southern regions of Africa.
