Pickerel Frog

This true frog can be found in meadows, cool springs and moist sphagnum bogs, throughout the eastern United States. They are characterized by their smooth green skin which is heavily marked by dark spots. The underbelly and inner surface of its hind legs are bright orange or yellow, creating a flash of colour when the pickerel frog leaps.MORE! [BM] {EB}
