The canoes made by

American Indians played a crucial part in the
exploration of North America. The canoe
is generally 11 to 20 feet
long, made of fibreglass, aluminum, plastic, inflatable
rubber,
canvas or wood. Most canoes are open decked,
those that are not resemble kayaks and are
usually used in white water canoeing.
