The most recently formed camping clubs are in Sri Lanka and the West Indies. Within North America, outdoor recreation like camping, has been a major part of organizations for young people. In 1861 the first children's camp was established and in 1910 the Boy Scouts of America, Girl Guides and the Campfire Girls all began. Two years later, in 1912, the Girl Scouts began. MORE! [BM] {NR}
