The Baptist Church baptizes only those who are able to make an independent judgement concerning their faith. In general a child is baptized no earlier then 6 or 7 years of age and the style of baptism is complete immersion in baptismal water. Most baptists believe in a literal interpretation of the Bible and take a strong stand on the authority of the Bible. The Baptist Church is heavily involved in missionary work.
