Medieval Mexico

Mexico has a long history, rich with indigenous culture. Ancient civilizations including the Olmecs, Mayas, Toltecs & Aztecs have inhabited what is now known as Mexico. In 1519 Mexico was invaded by Spanish soilders under the leadership of Hernan Cortes. The Spanish defeated the Aztecs & laid claims to Tenochtitlan, which is now known as Mexico City.
