Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart was born in Salzburg, Austria in 1756. He was the seventh child to his parents, but one of only two children that would survive;the rest died as babies. At an early age of 4 Mozart began both to compose music and play the harpsichord, as his sister sang with him.
