They toured Vienna, Paris, and Munich, giving additional shows at small towns they passed along the way. When the musical boy was only eight years old, he put on a concert for King George 3rd who went on to help Mozart publish some of his sonatas. At 13 playing in Italy, the Pope granted Mozart a knighthood. Mozart wrote his first Oratorio at 12 years, and his first Opera at 13. Then he was appointed by the court to be a court musician and composer, a job he would hold until the age of 23, when he left his native city and moved to Vienna. [AW] {JO}
