The most gifted of the musical Bachs came in the fifth generation. In 1685, Johann Sebastian Bach was born. He lived in Leipzig, Germany from age 38 until his death in 1750. At nine years of age his mother and father both died and he was adopted by his brother. He began to sing in choirs until at 15, when his voice broke, he began accompanying at rehearsals and playing the violin in the orchestra. All this time, Bach was writing music and practising the organ and the harpsichord. MORE! [AW] {JO}
