Sorry, No Picture! A monitor provides a convenient way to view data. There are 2 types of monitors: Cathode-ray Tubes (work like TVs) and Liquid Crytal Displays (like digital watches). Monitors can display images at several different resolutions. Low-resolution only displays about 16 colours at once while high-resolutions pictures can contain millions of colours.
