Acetone
Acetone is a common hydrocarbon that has a minty odour. In industry,
acetone is widely used as a solvent of cellulose nitrate/acetate, and in the production of
explosives. Acetone is used to manufacture the synthetic fibre rayon. It is also found in nail
polish remover, inks, and varnishes.
