What are Vitamins?
Vitamins are organic compounds that are produced outside of living organisms.
Therefore humans must take in a certain amount every day.
Vitamins behave as helpers to enzymes.
Therefore Vitamins are also referred to as coenzymes.
Vitamins are classified into two categories: fat-soluble and water-soluble.
Fat-soluble Vitamins include Vitamins A, D, E, and K.
Water-soluble Vitamins include the Vitamin B complex and Vitamin C.
