Amines
An amine is an organic compound containing nitrogen. An amine is a building block for
an amino acid, which in turn is a building block for a protein. Examples of amines
found in our bodies include enzymes, which speed up chemical reactions, and
adrenaline, the stuff that makes the heart beat faster and breathing heavier.
Some amines are used to make dyes.
