Nucleic Acids 
Nucleic acids are organic compounds that are the basis for life. They are what genes
are composed of. They determine the structure and function of each and every cell.
There are two types of nucleic acids: DNA (deoxyribonucleic acid) and RNA (ribonucleic
acid).
