DNA is an organic compound found in the nucleus of some viruses and all cellular organisms.It is the genetic material responsible for controlling all life functions. Molecules of DNA are composed of nucleotides. One nucleotide is composed of a nitrogenous base, a 5-carbon sugar ring called a deoxyribose, and a phosphate group.
