Carnotite (hydrated Vanadate of Potassium and Uranium) is one of the world's major sources of Uranium. It is a canary-yellow Mineral that is formed from other Vanadium- and Uranium-bearing Minerals. Significant amounts of this semi-rare Mineral occur in the desert of the southwestern United States and in Russia. Carnotite is mined for its Vanadium and Uranium content. [LM] {CC} {SS}
