Realgar
Realgar (arsenic sulphide) is a rare mineral that is used in the creation of bright white-coloured
fireworks. In its natural form, it is either red or orange, turning yellow through exposure to light.
Realgar is a soft, fragile and heavy mineral. Masses have been found in Hungary and Italy. The
name arises from the Arabic saying "rahj alghar", meaning "powder of the mine".
