Pyrrhotite
Pyrrhotite contains sulphur with iron and small amounts of cobalt and nickel. Its colour is
yellow-bronze, and it is magnetic. In nature, this mineral is usually associated with pentlandite,
another sulphide mineral. Pyrrhotite is mined only if it contains nickel; deposits occur in
Sudbury, Ontario, Canada, and in Italy.
