Orpiment
Orpiment is a yellow to orange sulphide containing arsenic. It is considered a soft mineral and
crumbles upon exposure to air or light. Orpiment is an important source of arsenic. Deposits are
found in Turkey, Georgia in the former Soviet Union, and in Nevada (U.S.A.).
