Cinnabar
Cinnabar is also known as mercury sulphide. Its colour ranges from bright red to dull red. This
mineral is usually found near volcanoes or hot springs. Major cinnabar deposits are located in
Spain and in the western United States. Cinnabar is mined as the major source of mercury.
