Chalcanthite
Chalcanthite is also known as hydrous copper sulphate. It is a blue mineral that easily dissolves
in water. Chalcanthite occurs in copper deposits along with other copper-bearing minerals. This
fairly common mineral can be found in copper mines in the southwestern United States, and in
Chile, where it is an important source of copper.
