Gummite is a mixture of uranium oxides and silicates. Its colour ranges from reddish-yellow to reddish-brown. Its crystals look like pieces of gum, hence the name "gummite". Gummite is formed by uraninite that has been altered. It has been found in India and in the Northwest Territories, Canada. [LM] {CC}
