HELP INDEX NEXT UP PREVIOUS FEEDBACK ATG Serpentine Group

The serpentine group is a pair of minerals, antigorite and chrysotile, that are hydrous magnesium silicates. Chrysotile usually contains iron. In nature, antigorite is green, while serpentine is light yellow. These very common minerals are the main minerals found in serpentine, a metamorphic rock. Antigorite and chrysotile occur in Italy and throughout the United States. [LM] {CC} {SS}
