Neptunite
Neptunite (complex silicate containing sodium, potassium, iron, manganese and titanium) can
be identified in nature by its elongated, black crystals. This rare mineral is associated
with natrolite and benitoite. Neptunite is abundant in Greenland and Russia. It is named
after Neptunus, the Roman sea god.
