Lepidolite
Lepidolite (hydrous potassium lithium
aluminum silicate) is a pink or purple mineral with a very rough surface. In nature, it
develops in rocks rich in lithium, and is found along with tourmaline and quartz. Minable
masses of lepidolite are located in New England, USA, and Brazil. Lepidolite, a fairly
common mineral, is mined for its lithium content.
