Benitoite (barium titantium silicate)
is a rare mineral characterized by its bipyramidal, blue crystals. In nature, it occurs with
the minerals albite, natrolite, and neptunite. Benitoite has only been found in California,
USA. Quality benitoite is used as a gemstone.
