Torbernite
Torbernite (hydrated copper and uranium phosphate) is a bright green mineral that can be
identified by the square outline of its crystals. In nature, it is formed by the chemical alteration of
pitchblende, a uranium-bearing mineral. This semi-rare mineral can be found in various places,
including Australia and Italy. Torbernite is commercially mined as a source of uranium.
