Native Elements
Native elements are elements found freely in nature. Metallic native elements include gold
(Au), silver (Ag), platinum (Pt), mercury (Hg), lead (Pb), tin (Sn), and zinc (Zn). Sulphur (S)
is the most common nonmetallic native element. Carbon exists in 2 pure forms: graphite and
diamond.
