Magnetite
Magnetite (iron oxide) is a black mineral that is magnetic. It is very common and very abundant,
and it can be found in igneous, sedimentary, and metamorphic rock environments. Significant
amounts of magnetite can be found in the United States, Northern Sweden, and South Africa.
Magnetite is one of the most important sources of iron.
