Crystal Systems
The crystal system of a mineral refers to its internal arrangement of molecules. A mineral
crystal is classified according to its symmetry and number of faces. There are several
crystal systems: cubic, hexagonal/trigonal, monoclinic, orthorhombic, tetragonal, and
triclinic.
