Strontianite
Strontianite (strontium carbonate) is a white or gray mineral that is found in nature usually
associated with calcite and celestite. When it is burned, strontianite produces reddish-purple
flame, which is useful for fireworks. Commercial mines occur in Spain, Mexico, and Germany.
