Dolomite
Dolomite is a carbonate mineral containing calcium and magnesium. It is usually white or
colourless, but can also be pink, green, or black; this mineral also has a pearly shine. It develops
in environments of chemical sedimentary rock and regional metamorphic rock. Dolomite is a
very common mineral, mined in places around the world. It is used as a magnesium source and as
a building material.
