The skutterudite series is three arsenide minerals containing cobalt and nickel: skutterudite, smaltite, and chloanthite. Skutterudite is cobalt-rich, and chloanthite is nickel-rich. These minerals are gray, and can be found associated with other arsenide minerals. Deposits can be found in Norway, Italy, and Ontario, Canada. All of these minerals are sources of nickel and cobalt.
