Descloizite Series
The descloizite series consists of two minerals having vanadate, lead, copper, zinc, and
hydroxide; descloizite is zinc-rich and more common than mottramite, which is copper-rich.
Descloizite is a brown mineral that turns green when combined with mottramite. These minerals
are found in copper, lead, and zinc deposits. Minable masses occur in Namibia and Mexico,
where these minerals are exploited for their zinc, vanadium, lead, and copper contents.
