Tennant discovered Iridium in 1803.
Iridium is the most dense Element.
It occurs in nature with Platinum metals.
Due to its high melting point, Iridium is used in making crucibles and other apparatus for use at high temperatures.
Pen tips and compasses can be manufactured from Iridium and Osmium.
