Albertus Magnus discovered arsenic in 1250. It is a native element found in two solid forms: yellow and gray (metallic). It is also found in the minerals realgar and orpiment. Arsenic and its compounds are poisonous, which makes them useful in poisons. It is also used for bronzing and doping solid-state devices.
