Metals
The metals in this group are like all other metals; they are good conductors of heat and electricity.
They are malleable and ductile. Aluminum (Al) is the most common of these metals; other
common members of the metals are lead (Pb) and tin (Sn). The symbols for lead and tin are
derived from their Latin names: "plumbum" means "lead", and "stannum" means "tin". Polonium
is radioactive.
