Rattlesnake-plantain leaves Rattlesnake-plantains (Goodyera species) can be recognised from the unusual patterning on their leaves. A whitish network of veins on a dark green background give the leaves a checkered appearance. The leaves grow in a basal rosette and the flowering stalks bear several whitish flowers in a loose spiral. Rattlesnake-plantains are woodland plants of northern areas. [CH] {GW}
