Sorry, No Picture! Wood Lily Lilium philadelphicum is a magnificent wild flower that may be seen blooming in open woods and meadows in early summer. Its Ojibway name is Maemaegwauhn naugauhnse (Butterfly dish). The three sepals and three petals are a bright orange colour with purple spots and the plant can be up to a metre tall. The flower faces upwards at the top of the stem which has whorls of leaves further down. [CH] {GW} {OG}
