White Trillium
White Trillium Trillium grandiflorum makes a carpet
of white flowers in eastern woodlands of North America
in the spring. The flowers have three large white petals
which turn pink as the blossom ages. It is important not
to pick a Trillium as all of its three leaves which grow
out just under the flower are picked at the same time.
The plant needs these leaves to make food, which is
stored in an underground stem to provide energy for a
new flower to grow in the following spring.
