Hyacinth
Hyacinth Hyacinthus orientalis originated in the area
around Greece and has been widely cultivated as an
ornamental garden plant. Hyacinths can be white, pink,
yellow, red or blue and they have a sweet perfume. The
long shiny leaves and a spike of six-pointed flowers
grow up from an underground bulb and the plant is
distributed commercially through bulbs rather than
seeds.
