Green Brier
Green Brier Smilax rotundifolia is a woody vine that
climbs by means of tendrils. It is a prickly plant with
rounded leathery leaves and male and female flowers are
borne on separate plants (dioecious). The female plants
form black berry-like fruits. This is the most common of
several species of Green Brier growing in eastern
North America.
