Blue-eyed Grass
Blue-eyed Grass is the name given to several species of
Sisyrinchium, which are grass-like plants with flattened stems and
narrow dark-green leaves. However, the flowers are quite different from
those of grasses; they are about a centimetre across and in most species
they are a pretty blue-violet colour. In a few species the flower is white.
Some blue-eyed grasses have single flowers on unbranched stems and other
species have branched flowering stalks.
