Snowdrop
Snowdrop Galanthus nivalis is loved by people of the
northern hemisphere as a sign that the cold winter is
coming to an end. It is often the first flower to appear in
the garden, sometimes emerging when the snow is still
on the ground. Snowdrops are native to Europe and Asia
and cultivated in North American gardens. The single
nodding flowers are white with green markings and the
leaves are long and narrow like blades of grass.
