Yellow-eyed Grass leaves and flowering stems Yellow-eyed Grass Xyris montana is a bit like a small rush which grows in peat bogs and in wet sandy ground. Creeping stems underground send up stiff flower stalks topped by knobs of little yellow flowers with three sepals and three petals. The leaves are long and grass-like. [CH] {GW}
