Arrow Arum, Tuckahoe Peltandra virginica has large arrow-shaped leaves and a long thin pointed green spathe which almost completely hides the flowers on a long spadix. Male flowers producing pollen are clustered above the female flowers on the same spadix. Arrow arum is an uncommon plant that grows in shallow water and marshes. [CH] {GW}
