Arrowhead
Arrowhead Sagittaria is well-named as its leaves are
shaped like arrow heads. North American species grow
in shallow water, rooted in the mud of lakes and ponds or
in slow-moving streams. The flowers have three large
white petals and they are either male or female
(unisexual), having either stamens or a pistil but not
both. There are about thirty species in the world.
