Family Solanaceae
The Nightshade Family (Solanaceae) includes several species that we use as
vegetables, like the tomato, potato and green pepper. Some produce
poisonous alkaloids in parts of the plant. The flower parts are mostly in
fives and the fruit is often a berry containing many seeds.
